We are an American style mortgage company located in Costa Rica , passionately seeking to provide attractive mortgage financing options to Americans and foreigners alike, interested in buying properties and homes in Costa Rica.  We assist clients in fulfilling their dreams of living, investing, and retiring in Costa Rica by working with local banks and private investors to provide the best mortgage financing options available.  We handle the entire mortgage process from start to finish making the experience as effortless as possible for the client.  We are committed to doing all of this in a manner directed by the highest ethical standards and levels of customer service, all the while focusing on investing in the economy, infrastructure, and future of Costa Rica! 

Our Team

A group of international investors started our company, an established Costa Rican banker runs it, and operations are handled by Americans.  We invite you to read the following bios of some of our key players in an effort to introduce ourselves more personally:

Luis Fernando Loaiza (President)

With a successful career of more than 14 years of regional and national banking experience, Mr. Luis Fernando Loaiza has formed a part of important financing groups in Costa Rica , while occupying high level corporate management positions.  Among his principal accomplishments, one can mention the creation, development and regionalization of one of the largest leasing companies in Central America , where in a period of 50 months, he built up company assets in excess of 100 million dollars.  With his impressive vision for business and given the excellence and ample network of contacts within Costa Rica's national financing system, at the end of 2004, he founded MDO Financial Solutions (MDOFS), with the objective of arming corporate clients with strategic financing solutions, focused specifically in the area of structuring corporate financing and fund raising.  During more than two and a half years, MDOFS has structured operations for more than 35 million dollars and continues bringing its services every day to more clients, many of them being international investors developing real estate.

As a part of added value that MDOFS is accustomed to bringing to its clients, Luis Fernando recently founded MDO Mortgage Services (MDOMS).  MDOMS is a company specialized in obtaining mortgage financing for Americans and non residents in Costa Rica .  The company is administrated under American standards by Americans, located in Costa Rica whose objective is bringing a service of processing residential mortgage applications to all individual investors and institutions that are acquiring properties in Costa Rica .

As a part of his personal resume, Luis Fernando Loaiza has a Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in bank marketing and financing from Inter American University  of Costa Rica .  He also has continued his studies in Postgraduate work in New Corporate Financing from the University of Jon Von Goethe in Frankfurt , Germany .  He also has a wife and three kids.

Scott Graves (Vice President)

Scott Graves hails from the Great Lakes State of Michigan. Scott graduated from Liberty University and then went on to graduate studies obtaining his master's degree in counseling and psychology.

Scott began his career working in the mental health field as a behavioral therapist with at risk kids and teens.   While working to complete his second master's degree, opportunities arose for Scott to become a Mortgage Consultant. Scott has closed loans in every facet of residential home lending and specializes in helping people clean up their credit.  Scott is licensed as a Real Estate Agent in the US and also has his Insurance License (Life, Property and Casualty).

In the beginning of 2006 Scott moved to Costa Rica to fulfill a life long dream and goal of learning Spanish fluently and working and living in paradise. Scott spends his free time with family and friends and also has many hobbies. Scott also like to surf, play golf, racquetball, squash, tennis, read, public speak and invest. 

Charlie Quesada

Charlie Quesada was born and raised in the City of Chicago.  In 1991, Charlie graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, earning a Bachelor´s of Arts degree with majors in economics and finance.  Since graduating Charlie has worked in several financial related fields including credit analysis, mortgage lending , title insurance and most recently managing a mortgage brokering office.  Charlie is a licensed loan originator in Illinois and also held a real estate sales agent license too.  Working to deliver sincere, professional service to his customers and keeping a friendly attitude has kept him busy with plenty of referrals. 

No stranger to Costa Rica, Charlie´s mother is a Costa Rican living in the Central Valley which had him visiting family every year since a child.  Married to a Costa Rican and with 2 children, Charlie decided to make a permanent move, recently leaving the cold winter weather of the Midwest to raise his family in this tropical paradise. Besides the beauty of Costa Rica, the chance to raise his children in an innocent, family oriented atmosphere was a big factor in moving.  In his personal time, Charlie likes to take hiking trips throughout the country.

Our mission is to serve our customers with honesty, integrity and competence. Our goal is to provide home loans to our clients while providing them with the lowest interest rates and closing costs possible. Furthermore, we pledge to help borrowers overcome roadblocks that can arise while securing a loan.
