MDO Mortgage Services , a national full-service mortgage broker headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica , is expanding and we are searching for dynamic, motivated individuals to join our team as Mortgage Consultants .
Our Mortgage Consultants have the following responsibilities:
- Responding to incoming calls generated by personal and company sponsored marketing activities and discussing the potential clients's current needs and issues
- Collecting and analyzing information regarding the client's income, assets, investments or debts
- Comparing and evaluating possible financial products and solutions and deciding which to recommend to clients to best meet their needs and financial circumstances
- Analyzing all aspects of material importance in presenting a loan scenario to the cleint
- Negotiating the terms of the transaction with the client, including rate, cost, and structure of the transaction
- Clearly explaining conditions of obtaining financing to the client
- Ensuring that all transactions are conducted with the utmost integrity and in accordance with company standards
- Negotiating terms of transactions on behalf of the client with outside agencies
- Selecting 3rd party vendors as necessary
- Developing sources of business through referrals, client retention, individual marketing efforts, etc.
- Exercising significant business judgment in the resolution of customer complaints and grievances.
What we ask for:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, business or marketing
- 1 + year of sales experience
- 2 + years of mortgage or finance experience is preferred
- English as a first language
- Bilingual in English/Spanish would be an asset but is not required
